To be (a poet) or not to be, that is the question.

I have, at best, a love/hate relationship with poem. That is, I love to read it (mostly to see it performed) but hate to write it. I’ve written very few poems in my life time, one of which won a rather undeserved award (perhaps my brave nature of late will prompt me to post it here – but don’t hold your breath).

That being said, I find this conference very appealing – and Duke isn’t that far from me. Also, did I mention Duke is one of my top choice medical schools?

We’ll see if I can a) get into poetry again, and b) justify the $75 registration and hotel fees to attend.

I’d love to attend a conference not centered around basic science for once.
